Foundation Level
The Foundation level lays the foundation for structured testing. In addition, there is the possibility to delve into testing Agile projects or to specialise in testing certain domains.

In the Advanced level, the tester seeks a deeper understanding of software testing and prepares for specific test roles in management, analysis or automation.

Core
The Core provides basic certifications that apply to any tester, regardless of the software development lifecycle model used and the domain in which testing is conducted.
Agile
The Agile track specifically focuses on testing in environments in which a software development lifecycle is used that is based on agile.
Specialist
The Specialist track offers certifications that provide in-depth testing knowledge for certain quality characteristics, types of testing or domains in which testing takes place.

Entry criteria
A tester in an Agile project has to deal with a different way of working than in a classic project form. The tester must know the values and principles of an Agile project and understand how the tester is part of a multidisciplinary team. With the foundation training as a basis, the principles of Agile software development and testing are further discussed.

Agile Tester
The Agile Tester module at Foundation level covers the principles of Agile software development and its testing principles. Attention is also given to techniques and tools.Advanced Level
Agile Tester
The Agile Technical Tester certification is aimed at Agile testers with a few years’ experience who want to deepen Agile patterns such as TDD, BDD and ATDD, test automation and CI/CD.Core
Entry criteria
The Core Foundation is the starting point for all certifications. There are no specific requirements to start this certification. Any experience is a plus.
Those who want to delve further into the Core must have at least a Foundation certificate. Only then do you qualify for Advanced certification. For an Advanced certificate, you must have an Expert certificate. In addition, demonstrable experience may be requested.

How can I have my certificates included in the Successful Candidate Register?
Since 2017, candidates who have obtained an ISTQB certificate have the option to add their certificate to the ISTQB 'Successful Candidate Register' (SCR). This option is offered to you by the exam provider that issued your certificate, along with your certificate.If you want to register certificates -whether or not from before 2017- or if you want to change your data, please contact the exam provider that issued your certificate. This is stated on the certificate.How can I check the authenticity of a certificate?
The BNTQB does not keep records of people who have obtained an ISTQB certificate.You can always contact the exam provider that issued the certificate. Due to the COVID-19 it is now temporarily possible to take an ISTQB exam on your own system (home or work) via remote proctoring.All details about this can be found on the websites of our exam providers. For each ISTQB certificate it is a minimum requirement that you are in possession of an ISTQB Foundation Level certificate. When you go for an Advanced or Expert Deliver certification, there are additional requirements. These are included in the syllabus for this training.
